Priced by the Load, Published Up Front
Waste is priced by how much of the van it fills, not by the hour and not by the room. These are the prices a wait and load job is charged at.

Loading, transport and licensed disposal are included in every load price.
Skip equivalent is the volume each load takes up: the clearance vehicle that attends holds the same as a 14 yard builders skip.
A quarter load holds roughly what fits in a small car boot several times over — up to 250 kg. A full load is a van filled to the headboard, up to 1,000 kg.

A handful of items cost more to dispose of than general waste, so they are charged separately rather than hidden in the load price. Heavy clean materials are priced by weight instead of by volume.

Mixed garden waste is quoted by load. Clean soil and clean hardcore are far heavier than general waste, so they are priced by weight instead.

How Our Pricing Works
The load list is fixed and published. Everything else is quoted, and these are the questions people ask about the difference.

Why is house clearance not a fixed price?
Because two houses of the same size can hold completely different amounts. Clearance is priced by the number of loads that leave the property, so a fixed figure published in advance would be a guess. We look at photos or come out for a free walk-round, work out the loads, and give you one price for the whole job before anything is moved.
What does subject to survey actually mean?
It means we price the job after seeing it, not before. The survey is free, takes a few minutes, and carries no obligation — you can send photos by WhatsApp instead if that is quicker. Either way you get a firm figure in writing, not an hourly rate that climbs on the day.
Is the quote fixed, or can it go up?
It is fixed. Once we have quoted the job from the survey or your photos, that is the price you pay, provided what we collect is what we were shown. If you add to the job on the day we will tell you what it changes before we load it, never after.

Which jobs are charged at the published load prices?
